About This Item

Lexington, Kentucky: University Press of Kentucky, 1996. Very slight scuffing to corners of cover, some pencil notes and underlining in the introduction, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this soft-cover book. Part of the publisher's "Eighteenth Century Novels by Women" series, this contains the text of the 1766 novel "The History of George Ellison" by Sarah Scott, along with introduction and notes by Betty Rizzo. A sequel of sorts to the author's "Millenium Hall" in that the title character adopts the utopian ideals shown in that book and applies them to his Jamaican plantation and his English estate. 235pp.. Paperback. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
