Printed title page states printed by and for P.Youngman, Witham & Maldon. The additional engraved title page states, Longman and Co, London, 1822, 1st edition. Amateur half leather binding with marbled boards. Gilt lettering to spine reads ""History of Surrey"". 7ins x 4.5ins, marbled endpapers, [iv], 214pp plus additional illustrated title page, folding map of county and 45 plates. Lacks plan of Guildford. The majority of the plates were drawn by H. Gastineau but there were also contributions from W.K. Morland, J. Grieg, W. Deeble and T.Higham. Light foxing to the map, but the plates are nice and clean. Overall VG
