Translated by Thomas Shelton, illustrations by Daniel Vierge, introduction by Royal Cortissoz. A lavishly illustrated, beautifully printed edition, combining Shelton's spirited seventeenth-century translation with Vierge's original illustrations, drawing on his travels through rural Spain. Dark red ribbed cloth, minor scuffs to boards, wear to extremities. Paper labels are intact. Darkening of deckled edges, pages are clean and unmarked. [i]-lxviii, [1]-385, [5]; [i]-xiv, [1]-416, [5]; [i]-xxiii, [1]-385 [5]; [i]-xvi, [1]-421, [5]. Occasional unopened pages. 10.5 x 7.5".
