NY: Harper & Row, 1952. Early Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/Very good plus. Maurice Sendak. An early printing of the first edition, with 'Grr-r-r' on p. 23. Black cloth spine, printed paper boards. Illustrated by Maurice Sendak. Slight old staining affecting the page edges else in very good condition. Dustwrapper is price-clippd with some old staining else is in very good condition. It lists 'Where the Wild Things Are' (1964) on the rear flap.
Inscribed by Sendak on the front free endpaper, "With love, from Maurice Sendak,".
