Inscribed by Author. Size octavo, 8" tall, 148 pages. Black cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the spine, lots of end-papers, with the dust jacket. Book condition fine, a very clean copy. Dust jacket condition near fine, slight rub to panels and tiny crease at front lower outer corner otherwise fine, not price clipped. Inscribed by Eagleton in blue ink on the title page "To Andrew, with greetings & good wishes from Terry Eagleton" An examination of the idea of terror, drawing on political, philosophical, literary, and theological sources. Author is a noted Marxist cultural critic.
