Gardenvale, Victoria. 1990 (Ist Edition). 8vo, 279pp. Hardcover in blue faux leather with gilt embossed title and d/w in excellent condition now protected by clear archival covering, text in excellent condition with very minor early foxing and no annotations. This is a military history reference book which has helped to fill a void of Australian involvement in this prolonged conflict. After years of painstaking research, this book includes a large tribute taking the form of a list of the 10,860 known Australian servicemen who took part in the Korean War. It also has many b/w maps, plans and plates included and there is also a section that is specifically devoted to the hardships of Australian prisoners of war at the hands of Chinese and North Korean captors. A hardcover copy of this first edition in such good condition is a very rare find.
