About This Item
Penguin Books, Hawthorn, Victoria, 2018. Edition Unstated. Softcover (with flaps). Good Condition. Illustrator: Various. Foreword by Richard Flanagan and introduction by editor. The text is illustrated with numerous children's drawings, and, at the rear of the book there is two pages of colour photographs of children. Colour illustrated paperback binding, with French flaps, with black coloured titles to the front panel and blue and black coloured titles to the back strip. Quoting from the foreword, page 9, " ... The remarkable pictures gathered by Ben Quilty for this book are by children who survive the Syrian war, and are now scattered across the world. I can think of few more damning testaments to both the horror of that war, and the enduring damage it has done to wall who have survived it, then these simple images." Rubbing of the book edges and panels with age toning of the text block edges. A previous owner has removed the rear end page  which has (I think) all of the publication details. Size: Square Quarto.
