London: John Lane The Bodley Head Limited, 1926. Signed by author on half-title page. Blue cloth on boards, gilt titles and gilt Artillery Company Shield Arma Pacis Fulcra on front of cover. Faint dusting of soiling and rubbing. Spine: head & foot with thin bumping and light rubbed wear/ cracks. Tiny rubbed wear to boards fore corner tips. Edges: light age browning to top-edge and yellowing to fore & bottom edge; moderate foxings & soiling. Missing ffep. Surface splitting to head of front hinge revealing mesh. Frontis: colour illustration of Royal Signature in The Company's Old Vellum Book. Just a few pages with faint and few only foxings to the margins mostly. B/w glossy illustrations (four colour and 74 in b/w). Binding is VG+ 298p. By Author. First Edition. Hb. VG/None.
