Gorgeous two volume set bound in maroon leather with folding double slipcase. No fading or wear. Bindings are tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with clean burgundy endpapers and beautiful illustrations throughout both volumes by celebrated artists. Decorated title pages with frontispiece portraits (Jesus and George Washington). 403 pages (Our American Heritage) and 401 pages (Our Christian Heritage). In "Our Christian Heritage" volume, there are two pages (17 and 19 that have long diagonal full page tape-repaired tears. Otherwise fine copies. Double slipcase folds open to reveal full color face portrait of Jesus and U.S. Liberty Bell. Exterior sides have full color portrait of standing Jesus and Statue of Liberty. No cracking. Very slight surface wear to corners and open edges..
