About This Item
London: T. Harvey. Good with no dust jacket. [1830?]. Second Edition. Leather. 8, 100 pp. 12mo. Bound in smooth calf with blind ruling, William Stirling Maxwell's initials embossed in the leather front and back. Front board is detached, some normal light rubbing, back board has cloth (? ) tape at inside hinge holding it on and partly obscuring the Kier bookplate. Also has bookplate of De Guinzbourg, the later spy and sword version. Small paper flaw on bottom margin title page (a small hole) , otherwise clean and unmarked. A very scarce little book, this is apparently the c1830 version of the 1819 first, but there seem to be no copies of the 1819 anywhere. Just a very few copies of the 1830 Harvey edition, this one appears to be the same as the copy in the British Library, with no plate. No copies for sale and no auction records. A nice little ort. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 100 pages .
