G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1895. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1895. 5th Edition. 359 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth. Black and white illustrations throughout with colour frontispiece. Prize plate stuck to front pastedown. Severe cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose. Pages and illustrations have light tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil inscriptions to rear free endpaper and pastedown. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Creasing to front board. Wear marks overall.
