About This Item

First US Edition/Stated First Printing; A Near Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket. An outstanding copy of this novel, the 5th in the Narnia series; this is the first US edition; the UK edition was the true first, although the first US appears to be much more uncommon than the UK in the marketplace. This copy is in near fine condition with only some mild shelf wear at the spine ends, else fine; housed in a clean and crisp original very good dust jacket that shows sunning to the spine (common for the title), minor rubbing and chipping to the spine ends and edges, and a couple of short closed tears to the edges. Overall, a highly presentable copy of this uncommon book; Not remaindered, not price clipped, not ex-library; in a protective Mylar sleeve and will ship carefully wrapped in a sturdy box.

Synopsis

The Horse and His Boy is a novel by C. S. Lewis. It was published in 1954, making it the fifth of seven books published in Lewis' series The Chronicles of Narnia . The books in this series are sometimes ordered chronologically in relation to the events in the books as opposed to the dates of their original publication. In this alternate ordering, The Horse and His Boy is the third book, being a midquel of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
