His writings about the Holocaust are well known. This is another great story of a Jew taken from his home in Brooklyn by an Arab and an Italian who want to trade him for the the freedom of three Palestinian prisoners. The hostage passes the time telling stories of his past to his jailers. Meanwhile the police are advancing... In fine unread condition with gold gilt cover designs and page edges, moire silk endpapers and bound-in silk bookmark. Still in the original shrinkwrap, the limitation number and enclosures that include the Publisher's Note and the Certificate of Authenticity from Easton Press.
Synopsis
Elie Wiesel is the author of more than fifty books, both fiction and nonfiction. He is a recipient of the United States Congressional Gold Medal, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the French Legion of Honor’s Grand-Croix, an honorary knighthood of the British Empire and, in 1986, the Nobel Peace Prize. Since 1976, he has been the Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Boston University.
