Very good copy in red cloth. 1902. 1st Can. ed.. hardcover. 8vo, 249 pp. + ads, White spine lettering all but gone; slight fraying to bottom edge of spine; a few spots on the rear cover, Front cover remains bright with strong white lettering intact; only 2905 copies of the first Canadian edition were issued in the same year as the English and American editions .
Synopsis
The Hound of the Baskervilles is a crime novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle featuring the detective Sherlock Holmes. Originally serialised in the Strand Magazine from August 1901 to April 1902, it is set largely on Dartmoor in Devon in England's West Country and tells the story of an attempted murder inspired by the legend of a fearsome, diabolical hound.
