About This Item

Houston, TX: Arte Publico Press, 1985. Second Printing. Trade Paperback. Very good. One of the most important and popular books in the Chicano literary canon issued originally by this university-affiliated Latino press. Second printing (a year after the first). A very good copy in the original wrappers (paperback) with wrap-around artwork. There is an American Book Award stick on the cover and small areas of surface chipping on the front cover. This copy is nicely inscribed with a play on the narrator's name and the old Spanish name of the city Cisneros was then living in, "Con esperanza. Sandra Cisneros. 8.27.93 San Anto' de Bexar.
