Some soiling on rear board, otherwise Near Fine condition in Fine dust-jacket. Bound in dark brown cloth with gilt spine lettering. SIGNED and inscribed by author Anne Rivers Siddons directly on the title page; Colquitt and Walter Kennedy try to warn new neighbors as they move in next door that there is a terrible evil abiding in that house. But who would believe something like that could exist in the heart of this friendly suburban Atlanta neighborhood? This horror novel is, according to Stephen King, Siddons' only pure Gothic novel. It is Siddons' second novel and her third book. Basis for the 2006 made-for-TV movie starring Lara Flynn Boyle and Mark Paul Gosselaar; 8vo; Signed by Author .
