London: Methuen, 1947. Book. Very Good. Decorative Cloth. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Black cloth with House of Orange coat-of-arms in gold, orange and blue on front board. Spine faded. Endpapers foxed. Laid in are: (1) A four-page description of the Principality of Orange with margin notes (typed, photocopy); (2) one hand-written note on Philibert of Orange; (3) a printed two-page family tree of the House of Orange Nassau on 8.5 x 11.5 paper, giving the chronology of succession from 1559-1948- (Stadholder Willem I through Queen Juliana), which opens to a two-page Family Tree, The House of Orange Nassau, Showing those ancestors of Her Majesty, Queen Juliana, principally concerned in forming the royal connections; and (4) two picture postcards, one dated 29 London: Methuen, 1947. First edition. 8vo. Hard cover binding, 189 pp. WITH PHOTOGRAPHS AND EPHEMERA. August 1980 of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix, the other (no date) of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix, Z.K.H. Prins Claus der Nederlanden, Prins Willem-Alexander, Prins Johan-Friso, and Prins Constantijn (Queen Beatrix, her husband Prince Claus and their three sons), and (5) a blurb from the book's dustjacket, explaining the derivation of the House of Orange.
