NINE VINTAGE VOLUMES / ISSUES OF DETAILED MINUTES of THE HOUSTON BAPTIST ASSOCIATION of Georgia, (in 10 actual pamphlets as 1936 has two copies). Organized in 1830, Beulah Church, Macon County, at each of their Annual Sessions, (respectively), circa 1921, 1922, 1923, 1925, 1926, 1932, 1935, 1936 (2 copies), and one copy of the BAPTIST WOMEN'S MISSIONARY UNION, Auxiliary to Houston Baptist Association Minutes from 1934. Volumes are paper, stapled booklets in gray, blue, off-white, brown and green, respectively. Some of the content across these editions includes: Order of Business, Officers and Ministers Holding Membership in association churches, announcements, Rules of Faith and Decorum, Proceedings and schedules, Reports of the Executive Committee, the Special Associational Aims for the respective year, Report on Georgia Baptist Hospital, Report on Publications, State of Religion and Enlistment, B.Y.P.U. Report, Christian Education, Sunday School Report, Orphans Home, Report on Temperance, Woman's Work, Missions, Finance Report, Report on Resolutions, Report in Standard of Excellence, Report on Nominations, and listings of the deceased, along with Historical data tables of sermons, places of meeting and moderators, along with their auxiliaries, and other statistical information. Some issues are indexed, and some are not. All issues are in overall "very good" condition, showing an occasional spot and some wear and discoloration to paper covers, yet are in remarkably good condition for their age. Booklets themselves are all free from marginalia, (with the exception of one of the two copies from 1936, in which a presumed attendee made notes in pencil within the front flyleaf). Issues do not bear significant creasing, except for an occasional dog-ear. All leaves have lightly and evenly toned with very minimal foxing. ISSUE FOR 1921: 91st Annual Session. Gray paper cover. Held at Smyrna Baptist Church, November 9-10, 1921. The Moderator was Judge U. V. Whipple of Cordele, Georgia. Statistical pages at the back are unpaginated. 36 pp.;ISSUE FOR 1922: 92nd Annual Session. Off-white/tan paper cover. Held at Byromville Baptist Church, November 7-8, 1922. In association with the Women's Missionary Union, held with Lilly Society, Lilly, Georgia, October 5, 1922. The Moderator was Judge U.V. Whipple of Cordele, Georgia. The first page bears an open 1.5-2" tear across the bottom, removing the final part of the "announcement" on page 1, and the bottom of the "Rules of Decorum" on page 2. The last statistical page is unpaginated. 40 pp.; ISSUE FOR 1923: 93rd Annual Session. Gray paper cover. Held at Drayton Baptist Church, November 6-7, 1923. In association with the Women's Missionary Union, held with Harmony Society Society, Unadilla, Georgia, October 25, 1923. The Moderator was T. W. Tippett of Vienna, Georgia. The "Watchword" was "Be strong and of good courage for Jehovah, thy God is with thee" - Joshua 1:9. Unpaginated. Approximately 11 pp.; ISSUE FOR 1935: 105th Annual Session. Light brown paper cover. Held at Unadilla First Baptist Church, October 22-23, 1935. The Moderator was M. F. Reeves of Warwick, Georgia. Indexed.
