FIRST AND ONLY OBSCURE EDITION An anti-Chiang Kaishek [Jiang Jieshi] and Mme. Chiang paper, most likely communist inspired. * Obscure and fascinating item loaded with statistics, 'facts' and figures. * WHO WAS: Committee for A Democratic Far Eastern Policy. Per wikipedia below: "A Communist front organization is an organization identified to be a front organization under the effective control of a Communist party, the Communist International or other Communist organizations.[1] Lenin originated the idea in his manifesto of 1902, "What Is to Be Done?". Since the party was illegal in Russia, he proposed to reach the masses through "a large number of other organizations intended for wide membership and, which, therefore, can be as loose and as public as possible,"[2] Generally called "mass organizations" by the Communists themselves,[3] these groups were prevalent from the 1920s through the 1950s, with their use accelerating during the Popular Front period of the 1930s. The term has also been used to refer to organizations not originally Communist-controlled which after a time became so, such as the American Student Union. The term was especially used by anti-communists during the cold war." *** WHO WAS THE "CC" CLIQUE: Per wikipedia below: "The CC Clique, or Central Club Clique was one of the political factions within the Kuomintang (The Chinese Nationalist Party), in the Republic of China. It was led by the brothers Chen Guofu and Chen Lifu, friends of Chiang Kai-shek. . Chen Lifu and his older brother Chen Guofu were nephews of Chen Qimei, who until his assassination by the Chinese warlord Yuan Shih-kai in 1916 was the mentor of upcoming Nationalist leader Chiang Kai-shek. Because of those personal ties, the Chen brothers came to direct the organizational operations of the Chiang-dominated KMT, founding their own political organization known as the CC Clique. . Considered to be the extreme right of the Kuomintang along side the Blue Shirts Society, the CC Clique represented traditionalists, zealous anti-Communist, anti-Japanese and the landlord interest. They stood closest to Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, controlling appointments and promotions, and held the largest block of votes in the Central Executive Committee. Chen Li-fu was considered the party boss. Its members included many of the elite within the party, including such people as Chiang Kai-shek's wife Soong Mei-ling and H.H. Kung. They dominated intelligence, trade, banking, the military, education, and propaganda. . The CC Clique placed loyal followers throughout the party and the government machinery, ensuring a dominating influence in the bureaucracy, educational agencies, youth organization and labor unions. The brothers also controlled the KMT's Central Bureau of Investigation and Statistics, one of Chiang's two main secret police bodies." *** REFERENCES: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_front * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CC_Clique * .
