New York: Macy-Masius: The Vanguard Press, 1928. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First U.S. edition of this mystery novel from Shiel, listed in Hubin's Bibliography of Crime Fiction. Very good in publisher's cloth backed, green decorated boards showing some rubbing at corners. Jacket very good with a few edge tears and some shallow chipping to head of spine and corners. Quite scarce publisher's wraparound band present, with quotes from N. Y. World, the Philadelphia Public Ledger, and H. G. Wells.
