New York: MacMillan, 1965. Archival bookplate signed by Rod Laver laid in. First U.S. edition / First Printing. Green cloth. Fine in near fine dust jacket with short edge tears. An Attractive copy. Rod Laver was the No. 1 ranked tennis professional from 1964 to 1970, four years before and for three years after the start of the Open Era in 1968. He was also the number one amateur from 1961-1962. Laver had 200 singles titles. He won 11 slam titles. He is the only male player to win a grand slam both in the pre-open era and the open era.
