A standard text amateur weavers, hobbyists, and interested readers. From the introduction:: "The purpose of this book is to present to the amateur weaver, in a simple, homelike way, the various processes necessary to produce a piece of lien cloth by beginning with the seed of the flax plant...In short, it is the beginning of an understanding of fibers which will aid future homemakers and salesmen in selling and buying intelligently."
