About This Item
85-92 pages with map, tables and cited references. Royal octavo (9 1/4" x 6") bound in original publisher's wrappers. Journal of Anthropological Research Volume 35, Number 1 complete issue. First edition. Two objective quantitative models for estimating maximum human population densities are reviewed and modifications of the published baseline data estimates are presented. One of these models (Pmax(2) is applied to data for hunter-gatherer groups in central Desert of Baja California and the results are compared with population size and density estimates from independent sources. Predicated population sizes duplicate those derived from independent sources for the region as a whole and match well with those for separate mission areas. Condition: Corners gently bumped, spine sunned else very good.
