Macmillan and Co., Limited, London, 1916. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Illustrated. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured decoration and titles to the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the back strip. A series of short stories from this Bengali author. The book is showing age and use. Softening, bumping and rubbing to the back strip edges with a little bumping and rubbing to the book corners. Rubbing of the book panels with various stains and marks – the rear panel is worse affected. Sunning to the back strip. Light browning and some foxing of the text block edges with, surprisingly, little age toning and the occasional foxing to the pages. Faint foxing to the end pages with previous owners name to the top edge of the free front end page. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [10], 3 - 271, [1] pages.. Deckled Top and Front Edge (rough cut).
