New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1922. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Good. 1911 FIRST UK Edition. Original purple cloth, white lettering front and spine, white decoration of polar bear front cover. The book is in better than average condition with very clean covers, no fading, bright lettering with no chipping, solid binding, some browning to EPs but no foxing on pages, interesting long inscription penned by Stefansson on blank FFEP, signed by Stefansson on title page, otherwise no previous owner marks or writing on any pages. The original dust jacket browning to lower half of spine, loss at spine corners up to 1cm deep, original printed price still present on front flap. The book measures . The book measures 298mm tall x 143mm, and has 301 pages, 26 b/w photos, two folding maps (in fine condtion). PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
