New York: The Macmillan Company, 1949. Hardcover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Good/Good. 412 pages. Dark brown cloth binding with gilt text on spine. Boards show very little shelf wear except to head and tail of spine. Dust jack has white text on a green rectangle that is surrounded by white borders on a rust colored background. White text on spine. Dj shows minor tears, chips and scuffing. There is some soiling on the back. Original price is still evident. The front and back paste down and fep show a map of the areas described in the story. There is a former owner's signature on the half-title page. Pages are unmarked, no illustrations. Binding is tight.
