About This Item
New York, (1957): Appleton-Century-Crofts, Inc. First Edition. Octavo. 240pp., illustrated with photographic images. The author, assisted by Alan Wykes transports us through the busy, crowded years that have seen him actively engaged in the "hunting game". He reminisces about the great beast and the great hunters that have shared the hazards of his dangerous life. His tale of a man hunt is the most unusual one of all. This is the story of a relentless search for crucial evidence to capture the organizer of an ivory-poaching racket. Bound in 1/4 black cloth over green cloth, spine lettering yellow, very minute bump to one corner, near fine in a very good unclipped pictorial dust jacket with chipping to spine ends.
