Sm. 4to. Pp. [4] 3-4 [4] 7-304 [2] 304. Brown cloth. Minor rubbing to the spine ends. Gilt title on spine. Illustrated title on top board with a silver image of a leaping tarpon caught on a line. The monochrome illustrations of the Water Birds are by Edward Knobel, the photographs are by the author. The Key to the Water Birds is the major part of the book. A near fine copy of the first edition. The pagination conforms to the entry in the Ellis bibliography which lists both first and second editions.
