Pantheon Books (for the Bollingen Foundation), 1952; stated second printing; xliii, 395pp. / 376pp. English translation by Cary Baynes, from Richard Wilhelm's German translation; foreword by Carl Jung. Bindings are tight, sturdy, and square; light wear to edges of black cloth boards, gilt titling remains bright and bold; text very good throughout both volumes. Vol. 1 missing the dust jacket. Vol. 2 dust jacket in G+ condition, light wear and toning around edges, closed tear and fraying over head of spine. Slipcase in G/G+ condition, showing some wear around edges and corners, title plate in clean, red text bold. Due to the size/weight of this set extra charges will apply for international shipping. Superlative, the best of the best translations: first translated from Chinese to German by Richard Wilhelm, then from German to English by Cary Baynes. In spite of this double translation, it is still the. BEST.
