Gilt title and floral motifs on light brown, leather spine; all crisp, bright and fully visible. Greenish covers with leathered corners. Title page with letterpress mark in woodcut. Marble end papers, decorative red end pages. Size: 290 x 219 mm. Some light, watermark like, stains on covers. Short inscription in pen and adhesive sticker inside front cover. Small stamp in ink on title page, slight foxing on some pages towards the end; otherwise remarkably preserved copy. First XXVI pages with dedication, approval and information on the life of Alberti, followed by 565 pages of author's text, and 33 folded figure drawings at the end.
