New York: Random House, 1968. First Edition. First Edition. INSCRIBED by author Robert Anderson and director Gilbert Cates on the front endpaper in the year of publication: "9/3/68 / Dear Jerome / Thank you for investing in 'Father' / Best / Gil / and I thank you too / Robert Anderson."
Basis for the 1970 film directed by Cates, starring Gene Hackman and Melvyn Douglas.
Near Fine in a Very Good plus dust jacket. Boards faintly faded on the top and bottom edges. Jacket has light creasing and a few nicks on the top edge of the rear panel and the bottom edge of the front panel, reinforced with paper tape on the verso.
