Contains four black and white full page illustrations and Index. Binding is tight with black printing to front cover and spine. Spine has light soil. Corners are rounded with very light wear. Translated by Caesar Saerchinger. FFEP has small piece missing at front edge with ghost of staple beneath. Light rust spot to front pastedown and Title Page from staple. FO name to FFEP but no other marks. Very light overall tanning with page 257 pulled away from gutter but no tear showing. ; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; 319 pages .

Rough-cut pages. Black cloth boards title on spine. Front endpapers are heavily stained with coffee(?) and marked "A" in top corner. The endpaper at rear cover is also marked in green pencil. Cover corners are bumped. Top page edges are tinted red.
