Vinegia (Venice): Aldus. In casa de' figliuoli di Aldo, 1554. First Edition. Full Morocco. Very Good. Folio, 34.5 by 24 cm. [116] pp. (2 unnumbered leaves, including title, 54 numbered leaves, 2 unnumbered leaves.) Title vignette with Aldus anchor emblem. Repeated on last page. 42 woodcut illustrations, seven of which are full page, in addition to 53 woodcut letter devices, each with a small vignette illustration. Condition: later brown morocco rubbed heavily in corners, less so, along joints, and slight starting upper front joint. Title and next two leaves with expert paper repair in upper corner, with in one case, addressing a closed tear --these repairs are comparatively inconspicuous. One small minor marginal hole.
