New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons. Good+. 1879. Hardcover. This copy has an autographed card affixed to the front endsheet. The card is signed in ink by the author, William Cullen Bryant, and dated January 4, 1878. Cobalt blue cloth covers with gold-decorated corners. Shelf wear and rubbing to the spine edges and corners. The corners are rubbed through. There is a small crack to the text block in the middle, but the text block is sound and the pages are tightly bound and clean. A few text pages have light spotting. Illustrated with numerous woodcut. .
