Signed first printing of this picture book by "The Real Corresponding Santa Claus," inspired by the shortest letter he ever received. Grover C. Gouker got his start as the Official Corresponding Santa Claus at the Hanover, PA post office in 1950, typing up responses to letters on his Royal portable typewriter. He responded to tens of thousands of letters. 10'' x 7.75''. Original color pictorial boards. Original unclipped (no price) color pictorial dust jacket. Illustrated in color. [32] pages. Signed "Love, / Santa" by Gouker to front flyleaf. Sharp and bright.
