A Doubleday Science Fiction dustjacket with art by Richard Mantell. First printing code P22 on bottom right of last page. Gift inscription on fake title page to Fred and Joan Saberhagen signed by the author. Black cloth binding with red lettering on spine. Tight straight clean book with faultless interior. No remainder marks. Dust jacket has I.W. price of $5.95 however the flap may have been clipped. It may be, however, that this flap clipping is original since like books have this same anamoly. Dust jacket has small tears at top of spine, edge wear and chipping. The Vim are taking over the universe. For the mutated races of human and alien who fight them off, the end of history seems only a few centuries away. The computer which knoweth all things has nearly predicted it, but then a plan for the ultimate weapon forms in the mind of a Deek council member. Out of the wildly incompatible genes of mankind, a superman can be fashioned to stave off the swarms of Vim raiders.
