U.S. first printing, Good book that has edge and corner wear. slight soiling to boards, small faint remnant of previous owner's stamp front end page, and with spine slant; in a Good jacket that has edge and corner wear and color loss at spine ends and corners, several scratches to front panel, and mild rubbing to both panels. This copy has been signed by Walters on the title page. Walters first mystery – set in the English countryside. Book was winner of the John Creasey Award for best debut mystery.
