About This Item

First edition. This book is not about the playing of chess, but rather the players and their personalities. Cockburn examines the eccentrics of the game from a very Freudian point of view, Looking at the few who are, shall we say, out there, rather than the many who are totally, uninterestingly "normal". Chess players have often not agreed with Cockburn's analysis. I can't speak for non-chess players.

The book shows little wear, and has a remainder mark. The jacket is price clipped and has one tear (2 cm) at the upper right front cover.
