About This Item
Advertisement poster by Tibor Zala (1920-2004), Hungarian graphic artist, in Socialist Realist style, in the manner of his master György Konecsni.
The Exhibition took place in 1950 and it focused on the heavy industry, especially on mining. The poster reflects to this, with a enormously sized red arm of an excavator, with its bucket filled with black coal. The machine is controlled by a worker in simple grey cloth and cap. Under the bucket the entrance of the exhibition is painted with the red flags of international Communism.
