George Routledge & Sons. Used - Good. 1865. Three quarter leather and marble paper covered boards. 4to. Three volume set. vii & 800 pp, 786 pp, 810 pp. Illustrated. Laid in: notes, articles, and illustrations collected by previous owners. Noticeable shelf wear and significant scuffing & rubbing to boards. Corners somewhat bumped. Noticeable tear along joint at head of spine of second volume. Front joint of third volume very worn. Both hinges of first volume and front hinge of third volume starting, other hinges repaired with library tape. Author's obituary pasted to front pastedown of first volume. Previous owners' stamps and inscriptions to front pastedown & following page of each volume. Some foxing and toning to pages. A few pencilled margin notes to text. Contents overall sound. Altogether a complete set in Good condition. (Subject: Science & Natural History.)
