Cassell Petter and Gilpin. Hardcover. Good. Six volume set bound in three volumes. red cloth with red half leather to spine and corners, gilt decoration to spine, five raised bands to spine. The boards are in good order although slightly rubbed especially to corners and tops and bottoms of spine. Edges of text blocks are marbled. Internally text is in good order with no loose pages and little wear although there are some small tears to page edges, paper appears to have become somewhat brittle. There is a preentation plate to front pastedown of volume one stating that this set was presented to the library of the Anglo Iranian Oil Company in 1949, there is a library withdrawl sheet to the free front end paper but this set does not appear to have been taken out! No other inscriptions, noted. There are numerous illustrations throughout. Overall a nice condition set, happy to supply photos and further details if required. This set will weigh over 12kilos packed so will require additional postage both within and outside the UK.
