Fine The British musicologist, composer, translator, editor, poet, and arts administrator Eric Walter White (1905-1985) was a long time friend and advocate of the Anglo-American poet and Imagist H.D. (Hilda Doolittle, 1986-1961). Comprising two discrete halves, Images opens with White's recollections of H.D. via "a series of images like faded photographs in an old, half-forgotten album," including extracts from her letters and poems, before flipping, finally, to an extract of her unpublished Moravian story, 'The Mystery'. A year after Images was published, White was awarded the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal. With a printed dedication "To Perdita".
