Sturdy book, quality red cloth with black, gray and white background on spine to very bright gilt lettering, brief Christmas note at top of first front end paper, 210 heavy pages. DJ price-clipped, heavy paper beneath mylar, blue background to front and spine with illustrations in primitive art of sun, bird and monkey on front, orange, white and dark blue lettering, b/w photo of naturalist on back. (Winner of National Book Award for "The Field of Vision.") DJ has very tiny scratch at bottom front edge near tip, very light wear at spine top and bottom left edges, two tiny scratches with very slight wear at top back spine indentation, micronick next to top back tip, very slight surface wear at bottom back tip. Good DJ/Near Fine book.
