Sunderland: Keystone Press 1906, 1st thus. (Wrappers) 40pp. Very good. Limited edition: one of 500 copies of which 50 were on hand-made paper; this being from the ordinary edition; 12mo (5" X 7 3 / 8"), faded grey-blue wrappers with black lettering on front cover. Wrappers faded and chipped; hinge split (repaired with archival tape); pages uncut and foxed. Preserved in attractive custom-made slip case with marbled paper and a Plexiglas panel revealing the cover. Scarce posthumous publication, printed during the height of Wilde's unpopularity. With editor Stuart Mason 'S preface, Wilde's autobiographical essay on travel in America, as given as a lecture at Wandsworth in September of 1883; two poems, "Le Jardin" and "La Mer," are also here printed in book form for the first time.
