Inscribed to Richard Wald [Dick Wald], well known collector of science fiction, art, comics, pulps, etc. In the early 1970s, Dick sent de Camp all his books to be signed. Upon the books return, Dick found all were inscribed to him in various foreign languages. This copy inscribed; "Jambo kwa Richard Wald kwa R. Sprague de Camp." "This is de Camp's best." Barron, Anatomy of Wonder 1987, *3-135. "This is science fiction of the best kind." Magill, Survey of Science Fiction Literature, pp 1198 - 1202. Moderate offsetting to the endpapers. Very good plus in very good plus dust jacket with memorable illustration by Artzy Basheff.
