Stories written for the BBCs Children's Hour. 203 pages with 76 illustrations. Book in good condition with previous owners signatures and other writing on front endpaper, two pages loose, binding showing inside front and back cover and pages 94/95 and 144/145, some minor marks and light tanning. Cover has fading to spine, writing on front, and some marks (see photos).
Synopsis
NORMAN HUNTER was born in 1899 in Sydenham, London. After leaving school he became an advertising copywriter. He also began, in 1915, giving performances of conjuring. His first Professor Branestawm book was published in 1933. After living in South Africa, he returned to England in 1969 where he lived by the river at Staines until his death in 1995.
