About This Item
Dragonwyck Publishing, 1990. 1st Edition . Hardcover. As New/Fine. Very fine in a very fine dust jacket, basically as-new. First published in 1931 in only a British edition, this is the first and only U.S. edition. It consists of a collection of 10 speeches by Churchill as part of his campaign against the India Bill, over which he broke with his party's leadership. These speeches are considered to contain some of the finest examples of Churchill's rhetorical brilliance. Includes a new 31-page foreword by Manfred Weidhorn. While 2,000 copies of this edition were printed, a fire destroyed Dragonwyck's remaining stock in 2003. Existing copies are thus very scarce.
