Doubleday, Page & Co, Garden City, 1915. 1st edition, dated 1915 on both title & copyright pages. xii, [1 (blank]), 188 including bibliography, table of Indian reservations, and advertisement. 7-1/4" x 5" Eastman is considered the first Native American to write about American history from a Native American point of view. [Wiki]. Very little wear though has a Bookplate, pocket & small spine stencil from a regional NH library (Abbie Greenleaf, Franconia ) an uncommon in the trade. Green cloth binding of The American Books series with gilt title lettering to front and spine. A nice looking example.
