Kohler with binders name in gilt at base of spines. Large folio volumes elaborately decorated in gilt with five raised spine bands. Gilt edges and inner dentelles, all text edges bright gold gilt. Marbled endpapers in deep red, white, blue and salmon color. Illustrated with nearly 300 figures, plans, maps, and engravings including many full-page.
