Strong strike on laid paper with ample margins. In a very fine condition. Excellent. - - From: "Inleiding tot de heedendaagsche penningkunde ofte verhandeling van den oorsprong van't geld, opkomst en onderscheid dergedenkpenningen; den aard, en rekenwyze der legpenningen; de wyze van't cyfferen der ouden, den oorspronk der cyfferletteren, toverpenningen en noodmunten. Mitsgaders van de vaste grondregelen, die in't ontwerpen, vergaderen, schikken en behandelen der penningen; moeten worden in acht genommen." Written by Gerard van Loon (1683-1758); printed and published in 1717 by Pieter de Coup of Amsterdam. As common, the identity of the engraver craftsman or craftsmen, responsible for the fine prints, is not given. Rare. OCLC records six copies only of this book worldwide. Two Dutch libraries, unrecorded on OCLC, also hold each a copy. A very handsome print, a scarce survivor unlikely to be found separated from the original work, in excellent condition. Preserved in acid-free, pH-balanced Renaissance archival paper. Clamshell
